We've been in development for a few months now on an offline solution for VendIt to address internet or server connectivity issues.
The relay server would be installed on the locations network and relay information from the readers to our live server, or handle transactions itself if a conneciton cannot be made.

A new up to date server program is now live for VendIt. The old scripts will still exist along side the new program, so no changes are necessary to existing VendIt devices

Andrew came on board in early December, after an impressive training period, he is now ready to handle all your technical support needs. Andrew will also be looking after the internal IT and Servers for VendIT.

A number of improvements to the security settings have been implemented.
Customers can now have their own "Super User" account which has the ability to grant or
restrict access to different pages and functions on the VendIt website.
Several pages which previously were not restrictable can no be restricted from the Web Users
screen by any Super User.
Users will no longer see links in the menu for pages they do not have access to,
which should help eliminate confusion.
In addition to the security improvements an option has been added that allows a web
user to check the status of our servers. This feature will communicate in real time with
the server to ensure that it is online and responding which will allow users to isolate
whether an issue is on their end or the server's.

The Job Costing module provides a method to allow employees to enter a Job number when they
dispense items from the machine(s). This provides a solution for job based material supply cost analysis.
It makes the costing and billing to specific jobs or projects easy.
